Compassionate and Skilled Therapist Providing Therapy in San Francisco
What if you were able to live each day better able to navigate negative self-talk and depressing or anxious thoughts? Find more meaning, purpose and happiness in your day to day life? Love your body and have a peaceful relationship with food, free of guilt, shame and self-loathing? Believe that you are good enough despite the mistakes you make? |
Everyone has the capacity to improve their lives and therapy can assist in this process. I don’t believe there is a single, “one-size-fits-all” way to approach every challenge; instead I pull from numerous modalities and techniques to support my clients in reaching their goals.
Every client of mine will experience unique challenges that require a combination of approaches and techniques – from understanding the root cause of the feelings involved to creating highly actionable, immediate ways to alleviate symptoms – my priority is, rather than follow a formulaic script or modality, to react to what my client is bringing in the room with an approach that is tailored to their individual needs.
My theoretical orientation is integrative and is personalized to each client. It may involve exploring and shifting your self-talk, identifying the attitudes and behaviors that get in the way of reaching your full potential, or teaching coping skills in order to manage difficult feelings and everyday stressors.
Approach
When you work with me, my top priority is to create an environment of acceptance and safety – where we interact authentically and informally.

Approach
When you work with me, my top priority is to create an environment of acceptance and safety – where we interact authentically and informally.
In my sessions, my goal is to provide you with:
- Being seen and accepted as you are: Acknowledgement, validation, emotional attunement
- Increased awareness: Exploring the problem in different ways, including its origins and how it shows up, can help increase one’s understanding and create more distance between the person and the problem allowing for more choice in one’s actions
- Tools and actionable strategies: Empowering you with skills for application in your real life to approach and manage daily challenges outside of the session
- Psycho-education: Providing an explanation about what you’re struggling with. This helps people to see things in a different way and can decrease the shame associated with the problem
